Friendly teachers and engaging, hands-on lessons make every class in the Integrated English Program full of energy and joy. Students participate in a variety of activities designed to develop different skills, helping them not only improve their English proficiency but also grow comprehensively.

An Integrated English class for first graders at Nguyen Van Troi Primary School (District 4) is always full of excitement
A visit to a Grade 1 Integrated English class at Nguyen Van Troi Primary School (District 4) reveals that, despite their young age, the students can speak and imitate the pronunciation of their foreign teacher quite well.
The class of nearly 30 students begins with a lively warm-up led by teacher Brian Mallot, who plays songs from Super Simple Learning. The children eagerly sing and move along to the rhythm. The lyrics include simple vocabulary such as near–far, high–low, and colors, which are perfectly suited for first graders, allowing them to absorb the content quickly.

After the music session, students transition to learning English through visuals by completing a short matching exercise, filling in English words that correspond with pictures. Most students answer correctly. The teacher’s friendly approach encourages students to communicate confidently. Using modern teaching techniques, Mr. Brian illustrates concepts through drawings, helping children recognize and remember new vocabulary. He then reads a short story related to the lesson’s new words, reinforcing comprehension.

The vocabulary lesson is accompanied by lively visual illustrations
Each class session concludes with fun games and quizzes that allow students to review what they have learned. According to the program’s teachers, students are trained in all four key skills — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — so that they can use English naturally in daily situations. They learn English through a variety of topics, along with Math and Science taught in English, helping them build a richer vocabulary and deeper understanding.

Although only first graders, the students write quite accurately
One key advantage of the Integrated English Program is its small class size — no more than 35 students — and the opportunity to study eight periods per week with native English teachers. English becomes the main language of instruction in these lessons, allowing students to develop strong communication skills, quick thinking, and confident, dynamic personalities.
Importantly, the program emphasizes practical learning, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity among students.

The students are enthusiastic and excited
The Integrated English Program combines curricula from the United Kingdom and Vietnam in three core subjects — English, Mathematics, and Science. It is carefully designed to reduce overlap while focusing on developing students’ cognitive abilities, skills, and character.
