The PEIC Young Learners exam is not just a simple test of English grammar and vocabulary; it focuses on assessing candidates' ability to use the language in real-life communication situations, requiring the integration of multiple skills. Exam content:
1. Writing section:
This section will consist of 6 small tasks, including:
- Multiple-choice questions and picture-based questions
- Sentence matching and matching pictures with words
- Fill-in-the-blank exercises
- Completing dialogues
- Answering questions
- Writing sentences or a short story
2. Speaking section:
This section will include 2 small tasks, which are interactive activities among students, such as:
- Interactive games (board games)
- Short presentations and Q&A sessions with other candidates
Exam format:
Students will complete the Writing section in a common exam room under the supervision of invigilators.
The Speaking section will take place in a separate room with one examiner, where one candidate will interact with four other candidates.
