With the mission of providing learners across the country with the opportunity and preparation to succeed in the international academic environment, EMG Education has consistently kept pace with the evolving trends of domestic and regional education. From this foundation, EMG has developed advanced academic programs and effective teaching and learning solutions that utilize modern educational technologies—most notably, the Integrated English Program.
As part of the supplementary activities for the Integrated English Program—alongside science competitions—the EMG Film Festival, an annual event conceived and organized by EMG Education teachers, was launched to create a meaningful platform where students can freely explore their creativity in a completely new field: filmmaking.
Initially introduced to 11th-grade students in the Integrated English Program at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, the festival offers an opportunity for students to engage in the full filmmaking process—from idea generation, scriptwriting, and story development to filming, acting, editing, and post-production.
Classes are divided into groups, with each group participating in various stages of the filmmaking process as part of a real production team. Every step requires students to invest substantial intellectual effort and gather knowledge from multiple sources to produce the most complete and compelling final product. Through each stage, their adaptability and creative thinking are also continuously developed and expressed.
The final products are evaluated by EMG Education teachers across various criteria and awarded based on 12 distinct categories, including:
Best Sets and Locations
Best Props and Costumes
Best Cinematography
Best Sound and Music
Best Effects and Editing
Best Creative Adaptation
Best Adapted Screenplay
Best Supporting Actress
Best Supporting Actor

Award categories of the EMG Film Festival
This event not only helps Integrated English Program students better understand each phase of the filmmaking process but also enhances their English proficiency through real-world application—particularly through idea development, writing dialogue to convey character traits, building storylines, and shaping narratives in engaging ways.
Additionally, the competition aims to promote critical thinking, teamwork, collaboration, and self-confidence among students. It also strengthens the bonds between students themselves, and between students and teachers.
During the recent EMG Film Festival, many beautiful and meaningful moments were captured, serving as a testament to the achievements students made through their dedication and learning journey. Students also shared unforgettable memories and revealed their secrets for creating captivating films. These experiences will undoubtedly become valuable assets as they continue to explore new challenges and grow each day.
