Pearson – the world’s largest and one of the oldest education groups – has been present in Vietnam for many years.
Through its strategic partner in Vietnam, EMG Education, Pearson has made significant and meaningful contributions to the overall development of Vietnam’s education sector in various areas, including English proficiency assessment aligned with Pearson standards, as well as the teaching of Mathematics and Science in English following the Pearson curriculum framework, where students are awarded Pearson-recognized General Education qualifications (Pearson is also the largest examination board in the United Kingdom).
The partnership between EMG Education and Pearson has enabled students of the Integrated English Program (IEP) in schools across Ho Chi Minh City to achieve outstanding results in international qualification examinations, serving as an ideal stepping stone for their academic and career pathways.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on comprehensive educational cooperation, signed in Edinburgh, Scotland, marks a new milestone, elevating the collaboration between EMG Education and Pearson to a higher level. The focus will be on educational innovations for the digital world and smart societies of the future, including cooperation in digitalizing learning content and teaching materials, applying advanced technologies in assessment, testing, and English proficiency development (particularly artificial intelligence – AI), teacher capacity enhancement, and education quality accreditation and recognition.
In the context of the rapid digital transformation driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), the digitalization of learning experiences and the application of technology in teaching, assessment, and teacher training have become essential tasks for the education sector. Through this MoU, EMG Education and Pearson reaffirm their commitment to bringing the world’s most effective and advanced educational solutions to learners in Vietnam, thereby contributing to the development of a highly competitive workforce in the global arena.
