EMG EARLY YEARS ENGLISH MILESTONE TRACKER – English Language Familiarization Assessment Tool for Preschool Children

Based on Circular 50/2020/TT-BGDĐT from Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on the English language familiarization program for preschool children and Document 3678/SGDĐT-GDMN from Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (DOET) on the implementation of the pilot survey for English language familiarization for preschool children as required.

Comprehensive Evaluation of Listening, Speaking, Pre-Reading Skills, and Confidence Levels: The survey tools are designed to be age-appropriate and feature visually engaging and interactive questions on a tablet, such as listening and repeating words, selecting the correct image, matching images with vocabulary, and answering simple questions, among others.

Fun and Friendly Survey Format: Children engage in one-on-one interactions with teachers, who guide them through each question on the tablet. This process allows children to feel comfortable and confident as they interact and express themselves, much like participating in a simple game.

Observation and Communication-based Assessment Method: Teachers observe and evaluate the children's basic English reflexes and usage, while also noting their interest and confidence in using English.

Aligned with international benchmark: Children will receive the EMG Early Years English Milestone Tracker Certificate of Achievement, issued by EMG Education and levelled in accordance with the Pearson Global Scale of English, in particular the Global Scale of English (GSE) Pre-Primary English Skills for children aged 3-6, developed by Pearson.
