Strengthening International Collaboration to Enhance AI and STEM Education Quality

On March 18, at the Embassy of Ireland in Singapore, ICDL, together with its strategic partners, officially launched AI training programs and AI certification exams spanning from primary and secondary education to higher education. The event also introduced ICDL’s STEM program, developed in collaboration with Siemens and Singapore Polytechnic.

As part of a series of exchange and international cooperation activities held from March 17 to 18, EMG Education Group participated in the launch ceremony organized by the Embassy of Ireland in Singapore. The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening educational partnerships among leading global technology and assessment organizations, with the shared goal of equipping younger generations with essential digital skills for the future.

The event was attended by distinguished leaders, including Ireland’s Minister of State Frank Feighan TD; ICDL Global CEO Damien O’Sullivan; Dr. Pham Thai Lai, CEO of Siemens ASEAN; and representatives from Singapore Polytechnic. The ceremony was also honored by the presence of Ireland’s Ambassador to Singapore, Sarah McGrath, and Vietnam’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Singapore, Tran Phuoc Anh.

Representing EMG Education at the event were Mr. Truong Quoc Hung, Chairman of the Board, and Ms. Nguyen Phuong Lan, Chief Executive Officer.

In her remarks, Ambassador Sarah McGrath emphasized a shared foundational value among Ireland, Singapore, and Vietnam: a strong commitment to advancing national education systems. She expressed pride in witnessing ICDL’s evolution into a truly global organization, successfully bringing Ireland’s educational excellence and expertise to the region and the world.

She also highlighted the critical importance of strategic partnerships and the human factor in ensuring their success, describing these elements as a solid foundation for further progress in future international cooperation.

Ambassador Tran Phuoc Anh underscored the significance of this collaboration in relation to Vietnam’s strategic development orientation. Referring to Resolutions No. 57 and No. 71 of the Politburo, he reaffirmed the country’s top priorities: fostering innovation, advancing science and technology, accelerating digital transformation, and developing a high-quality workforce.

To achieve its strategic goals of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a developed nation by 2045, Vietnam will rely heavily on support and cooperation from international partners in education, digital transformation, and high-tech development.

The Ambassador extended his congratulations and appreciation to ICDL and its strategic partner, EMG Education. Their close and forward-looking collaboration has effectively integrated international standards with local needs, ensuring that learners in Vietnam gain access to high-quality certification systems and are well-prepared for the future workforce. He also affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore will continue to support and accompany this partnership to generate meaningful and far-reaching impacts.

This event once again reaffirmed EMG Education’s commitment to working alongside global networks such as ICDL, Siemens, and Singapore Polytechnic, continuously striving to bring world-class educational excellence to Vietnam and empower the younger generation to confidently navigate and lead in the technology-driven era.
