PTE Home is a computer-based English test which is accepted by the UK Home Office as proof of language proficiency for several family and work visas To complete a PTE Home test, you will need to attend a secure Pearson test centre.

TEST FORMAT & LEVELS
Each PTE Home test lasts under 30 minutes. During the test session, you will encounter a range of different question types

• Describe image: 4-5 questions
• Story re-tell: 4-5 câu questions

• Story – Listen and answer: 4-5 questions
Based on the specific requirements of the visa categories, there will be 3 levels, respectively: A1, A2 and B1.
1/ PTE Home A1
PTE Home A1 is a beginner-level English test for speaking and listening. It is accepted by the UK Home Office as proof of language proficiency for several family and work visas. PTE Home A1 is a pass–fail test that measures an individual’s ability at CEFR Level A1.
Visas that accept PTE Home A1 include:
• Spouse/Partner visa
• Parent of a dependent
• Representative of an overseas business
• Tier 2 Sportsperson visa
2/ PTE Home A2
Some visas require proof of English language improvement in order to qualify for an extension. You must fulfill certain criteria including profiency of English at CEFR level A2 in order to extend spouse/partner and parent of a dependent visas after 2.5 years.
3/ PTE Home B1
If you are looking to settle in the UK permanently you will need to prove that your English language is at CEFR level B1. The PTE Home B1 test is approved by UK Visas and Immigration for both settlement (indefinite leave to remain) and citizenship applications.
SCORING & REPORT
All items in PTE Home are machine scored using PTE Home’s automated scoring system. The result is typically available in 5 business days. PTE Home scores are accessed via an online account. You will receive an email notifying you once your scores are available.
After you receive this, you will need to log in to the Pearson VUE account that you created to book your test.
PTE Home is scored against the Global Scale of English, a granular scale from 10-90.
The Score report includes:
a. Your infomation.
b. The resutl: Pass/Failed
c. SELT URN Number (*)
