Assessment Specialist
The incumbent will carry out the tasks assigned to him/her by the Company’s Board of Directors and Academic Management Board related to the design, implementation, and monitoring of assessment strategies across all academic departments. The incumbent will play a central role in supporting the transition from traditional paper-based assessments to digital assessment systems in alignment with EMG Education’s strategic direction.
1. Job Description:
- Support the Academic Management Team in developing and refining assessment frameworks and policies that align with EMG’s curricula and quality assurance standards.
- Design and review assessments, marking schemes, and rubrics to ensure alignment with learning objectives and the relevant benchmarking standards.
- Contribute actively to the implementation of digital assessment strategies; supporting the transition towards on-screen assessment and ensuring smooth operational coordination during rollout phases.
- Provide training, guidance, and professional development to teachers and academic staff on assessment literacy, standardisation of marking, and digital assessment procedures.
- Follow and maintain quality control processes for assessment administration, moderation, and record keeping in line with company procedures.
2. Job Requirements:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. A postgraduate qualification (PGCE, MA in Education, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Have at least five years of experience in curriculum design, assessment development, or academic quality assurance in an international education setting.
- Demonstrated experience with assessment frameworks aligned to international standards (e.g. Edexcel, Cambridge, CEFR, or similar).
- Strong understanding of digital assessment systems, LMS platforms, and e-assessment tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess qualities of diligence, flexibility, open-mindedness, cultural sensitivity, and patience.
